| Operation Bandanas
now has a chapter established in Georgia to meet the
demand for Psalm 91 bandanas for Active, Reserve and National Guard
servicemen and women deploying from Ft. Benning, Ft. Stewart and
other locations throughout the state.
Realizing the need for a local point of contact to
answer questions about Operation Bandanas and funnel bandana
requests to Operation Bandanas headquarters in Fayetteville, NC, Don
Landrum, a retired Special Forces non-commissioned officer took
charge! An active member of Vietnam Veterans of America
Chapter 772 and Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville,
GA, he wasted no time in talking to their members and obtaining
donations for the Psalm 91 bandana ministry. He has contacted
several deploying units and as of April 21, 2008 has requests for
2,500 bandanas.
Northeast Georgia Chapter 772 of Vietnam Veterans
of America (www.vva772.org)
agreed to sponsor Don in his efforts to provide spiritual armor to
servicemen and women deploying from and through Georgia. Don
is available to speak to churches, civic groups, fraternal
organizations and any other groups with an interest in this powerful
ministry. Contact him at

Bandanas, c/o Don Landrum, P.O. Box 5833, Gainesville, GA 30504.
Who is Don Landrum and why do you need to have him
speak to your organization? No one knows better than Don the
importance of faith and spiritual armor in the face of danger.
Don has faced many of the same dangers
our troops face today through his combat experiences in Vietnam.
After retiring from Special Forces, he worked at the U.S. Army John
F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Ft. Bragg training
soldiers in Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE)
techniques. After his civil service retirement, he moved to
Georgia and now heads a company that provides SERE pre-deployment
training to military units. A former member and deacon of
Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville, he has given back to his
community through his active participation in his church, Vietnam
Veterans of America, American Legion, Chapter XXXIII Special Forces
Association, and now Operation Bandanas.
His participation in Operation Bandanas comes as
no surprise because of his strong faith and desire to support the
military community. In his words he is "willing to speak at
the drop of a hat to anyone or any group interested in the
bandanas." We encourage you to contact him and you will be
blessed by his message. The Psalm 91 bandana is only a small
tangible gesture of the love we have for our troops and something
they can hold onto in faith. Let Don tell you how powerful
that small square of cloth will be and how much it can mean to our
servicemen and women. |
