Operation Bandanas

Operation Bandanas

“In battle and in the face of danger and death, he discloses those divine attributes which his Maker gave when He created man in His own image.  No physical courage and no brute instinct can take the place of the Divine help which alone can sustain him.”

General Douglas McArthur

6,692 PSALM 91 BANDANAS TO OUR TROOPS SINCE 1/1/09!

Friends and Families of Our Military:

PRAISE GOD and THANK YOU for your generous donations in providing 6,692 courageous young men and women in uniform with a reminder of God's presence with them and His protection over them. Through your donations since the first of this year, OpBan Partners (that’s you!) have provided 6,692 soldiers with Psalm 91 bandanas!  That’s only 93,308 more bandanas to reach our 2009 goal of providing 100,000!  I know it can be done, because I know the Big God that we serve and I know there are a lot of grateful, generous citizens out there who want to assure that our servicemen and women receive a Psalm 91 Bandana.  Let’s keep “marching” and get them to our troops!

MEMORIAL DAY:  As we reflect and honor those who have given their lives in return for the freedom that we enjoy and often take for granted, this would be a wonderful time to give a gift of a Psalm 91 bandana to a soldier in honor of their service and sacrifice and in memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.  Your church could promote Operation Bandanas throughout the month of May and then take an offering on Memorial Day and the next weekend after.  If everyone in your congregation gave $3.00 for one bandana, think of how many bandanas could be provided.  Surely, that is a small sacrifice for us to make on their behalf.

From wars past and wars present, those sacrifices have been and are continuing to be made on a daily basis.  Our incredible Armed Forces are willing to take a bullet, lose a limb, or even give their lives for our continued liberty.  And their families are “making do” without them, holding down the home front until their safe return.  I cannot even fathom the spirit and courage of our American Military.  God bless and protect them and their families and may they feel His presence near to them.
